Hillary Clinton, while addressing the DNC’s winter meeting, says she wants to take the oil companies profits and put them into a strategic energy fund. You can see the video posted on HotAir HERE. Few would argue that the profits realized by the oil companies are obscene but the government taking profits from companies is an entirely different matter. This reeks of socialism – Hello Hugo – and will certainly provide ammunition for Hillary’s competitors. This statement is almost as bad as Biden’s “clean” remark.
On another note, I was struck with the strident tone of her presentation. What say you?
