Explore the Forest of Dean this Winter

One of the best things about winter in the UK is being able to enjoy a bracing walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. In this country, we are incredibly lucky to have such an array of stunning areas of natural beauty to visit and enjoy, and one of these places that should not be missed at this time of the year is the Forest of Dean.

As well as boosting your feel-good chemicals in the brain, getting out and about can relax you and decrease stress, as well as keeping your body fitter and healthier. It’s a great excuse to treat yourself to some new winter fashions too – a comfy pair of boots or a fashionable coat such as these mens Tommy Hilfiger jackets.

The Forest of Dean has so much to offer – whether you want a festive family walk, a peaceful autumn stroll, or even some higher adrenaline activities, it really has plenty for everyone to enjoy.

The sculpture trail at Speech House is hugely popular with families – kids and adults alike will love exploring the forest and seeking out all of the sculptures which are designed to pay tribute to the forest and its long history.

For the spectacular autumn scenery, head to Soudley ponds – you can enjoy a walk amongst the huge trees as they change to the beautiful colors of the autumn, and you may even be lucky enough to spot a kingfisher flash past you.

If it is something more high adrenaline you want, then maybe try your hand at one of the many BMX trails in the forest, or head to the Diving Centre at Chepstow to experience the thrill of the zipline!
